The incredible story behind Africa’s biggest bank launch. I had the unique honour and privilege of being appointed the creative lead behind Absa Bank’s successful brand expansion into 9 markets across the African continent, and I am grateful for this experience that has graced me with so much wisdom.

When the Toyota Vitz first launched in South Africa, it was a monumental sales failure. I was tasked with taking the creative lead to strategise a new creative marketing campaign that would reverse the Vitz sales slump. It’s a marketing case-study that proves that great strategy and creative can correlate with great sales. Here is how my team & I did it!

Prudential Investment Managers wanted to take their brand to the next level. My team and I had the honour of working with real-life hero Jadav Payeng, the Forest Man of India, to create an award-winning series of creative content that would become one of South Africa’s most loved campaigns and lead to great business success for Prudential as a result. I co-wrote the script & was the stills photographer on the project too! Here is the behind-the-scenes video.

When KIA were launching the new Sportage in South Africa they wanted to do it in style. So I came up with a unique idea: The World’s Longest Test Drive. Here’s the event that led to the Sportage becoming one of the best-selling SUVs in South Africa, and also a World Record too!

The Toyota Fortuner Challenge has been a hugely popular event for 7 years in South Africa. But in 2023, Toyota gave my team & I a challenge to re-invent the challenge. So I had a breakfast with one of South Africa’s most hilarious influencers, and influenced him to be the host of the 2023 Toyota Fortuner Challenge. And the rest is monumental success, and marketing history!
